11″ Telescope

The 11″ telescope is installed on the main campus of the university, and serves two main purposes: 1) to test and commission equipment before it is installed on our larger telescope in Mitzpe Ramon, 2) to support public-outreach programs by the Haifa Center for Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics (HCTPA) and the Department of Physics.

The available equipment includes:

  • 11″ celestron  SCT telescope
  • CGX-L Equatorial mount
  • Color CCD camera
  • Portable power supply
  • Laptop computer 
The equipment is not for loan, but may be booked by University of Haifa’s personnel by contacting the PI well in advance.
